The first and only living man without heart

Although every part of our body is important but there are many organs which are vital for human Life too, and Heart is one of them. The function of heart is to pump all the blood along with Oxygen to every single part of the body.
No heart or a dead heart in body means there is no Life remaining in the body but Mr. Craig Lewis of USA amazingly living without his Heart but an artificial heart. This artificial heart has no pulse but it is pumping blood like the real heart do.

What really happened:

Mr. Craig Lewis, a 55 year old man from USA faced a medical problem with his heart that was building abnormal proteins and he was about to die soon. He had just 12 hour left in his life and even no pacemaker could work in his body to let his heart function properly and save his life but two doctors from Texas accepted the challenge to save his life.

Who are the Doctors

:

Dr. Oscar Howard Frazier Jr. the director of Cardiovascular Surgery Research at the Texas Heart Institute with a 25 years of experience. He has performed some 1,100 heart transplants as well as he implanted about 700 left ventricular assist device (no other surgeon in the world has reached this figure yet). His precious and dedicated work has bring the Texas Heart Institute on top of the list with some other transplantation support programs in the world.

Dr. Billy Cohen, the cardiothoracic Surgeon and the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgical Technology at the Texas Heart Institute with the experience of about 13 years. He has patented about 30 medical devices and many of them are now being used in heart surgeries around the world.

How they did it:

Both of these doctors had already developed such device that pumps the blood like a real heart and can replace the heart in severe medical conditions and they installed and tested it on about 50 calves after removing their hearts which was successful. On the very next day of the calves’ surgeries, these animals were doing everything without their pumping heart just like they were doing it with their natural heart.

In March 2011, after reviewing Mr. Lewis case they proposed the same solution for him and after

taking permission from his wife Linda they installed this device in his chest and the next day Mr. Lewis was fine and shine.
The device started circulating blood in his body and he was able to speak to his doctors on next day of his surgery. Now, he no longer has pulse and no one can listen his heartbeat with a stethoscope.

Let us wait and see for more such revolutionary devices and surgeries that will change the world.

Salman supports Saif, says media was biased

Salman Khan, who is back here after the shooting of "Ek Tha Tiger" in Cuba, Friday came out in support of his fellow actor Saif Ali Khan, saying that media should have waited for his version and dug out the facts before running what was carried on television.

"Even the press yesterday was all for the other guy. They didn't even bother to ask what happened to Saif. Did Saif got wacked first or not? We should have waited for Saif to come out and say what he had to say," Salman told reporters after he was aksed to comment on the incident.

"We are actors and we have been in the industry for the longest time. Saif has been in the industry for 18 years. We knew the guy," added the actor.

Salman is the face of the History channel and was attending the unveiling of TV 18's Big initiative.

Saif was involved in a scuffle early Wednesday at Wasabi, the Japanese restaurant at Taj Mahal Palace with South Africa-based Indian businessman Iqbal Sharma. The latter alleged that Saif abused and assaulted him and his father-in-law and filed a complained at the Colaba police station, the actor said he was provoked to do so.

Following Sharma's complain the 41-year-old actor was arrested Wednesday evening with two others -- Shakeel Ladak and Bilal Amrohi.

Police detained the trio at the Marine Drive police station and later brought them to the Colaba police station. The interrogation of the trio lasted an hour. Later, the actor and his two friends were freed on personal bonds of Rs. 3,000 each.

According to Sharma, Saif called him an "idiot" for complaining about the actor's loud conduct at the restaurant. He said he and his family had requested the restaurant manager to ask Saif and his friends, which included Kareena, Amrita Arora and Malaika Arora Khan, to keep their voices down.

Salman said, "If you have gone into a restaurant, you are not there to manao matam (mourn). You are there to have dinner and drinks. My family was there, everybody was there. I am sure he (Sharma) might be right, but my point is that find out the entire thing and then come on TV."

When CNN-IBN editor-in-chief Rajdeep Sardesai asked Salman if recently he created any historical moment by bashing up someone in a restaurant, Salman replied: "Other people are making history it seems."

The actor, who himself has been involved in hit and run case, and scuffles, says the blame always comes on actors.

Salman said, "Always the actors have been blamed, why so? It has always been us," he said.

Jodi Breakers

By Subhash K Jha

Starring R Madhavan, Bipasha Basu, Dipannati Sharma, Milind Soman, Helen

Directed by Ashwini Chowdhary

Rating: **1/2

Just when you think you've seen them all, from the hit jodis to the split jodis comes Jodi Breakers…. A jodi-daar pair, Madhavan and Bipasha Basu who set up a business of splitting couples…until they end up splitting the wrong couple. That's when all hell breaks loose.

Interestingly the wronged couple is played by two model-turned-actors Milind Soman and Dipannati Sharma who are a class act, together and apart. Dipannati specially whom we saw some time ago in a chic avatar in Ladies Versus Ricky Behl, makes you wonder why some ladies get left behind in the rat race.

Or why any man would be stupid enough to leave a wife like Ms Sharma. That's the thought which holds the shaky screenplay of Jodi Breakers together. That we often end up giving ourselves a wrong deal in the bid for love.

The concept of a pair falling in love as they go about breaking couples is interesting enough to hold a 2-hour long rom-com together. Lamentably the episodes showing a pile-up of desperately-estranged couples seeking to find an escape from marriage are hardly as amusing as one would expect them to be, given the situation.

At various places the screenplay simply slithers to a standstill waiting for the writer's next brainwave. Until then there's always the song break. The music is all of the safe variety, expansive ballads, a sexy item song…download-able waste.

The supporting cast is wretchedly half-formed. Omi Vaidya and gang seem to have a twinkle in their eye which could be the well-lit sets reflecting in their shadowy presence.

Attempts at sexy jokes about condoms,over-sexed women, one-nights stands and unwanted pregnancies often end up being more sexist than sexy.

And some of the writing(like the sequence where Madhavan finds out Dipannati is pregnant, or the doctor barging in at the finale to expose the gold-digging vamp) is so awfully outdated you wonder what the director was doing when the writer tried to pass of these mortal remains of a dead idea.

The interlude in Greece, though shot with picture-postcard resplendence, could have easily been avoided. Efforts to raise the glamour quotient progressively lower the inherent strengths of the screenplay until the film faces imminent erosion and depletion. Luckily disaster is averted by a charming end-game featuring Helen as a feisty busybody Goan grandma.

Madhavan and Bipasha Basu's screen presence goes a long way in covering up the film's frail passages. They seem to vibe well together and bring a kind of shared empathy to the proceedings that seems to suggest there's much more going on here than meets the eye. Madhavan in two dramatic key sequences holds the camera like a lover. Rest is brat-boy-fun-time stuff.

This could have been the perfect rom-com about an imperfect couple trying to make money out of broken-down relationships. Sadly, director Ashwini Choudhary fails to go the whole hog. Somewhere down the line the characters stop thinking and begin shrinking. They go through motions that are written for them.

And not very convincing motions at that.

If the film works at all it's because Madhavan and Bipasha make a cute couple and try to extract the maximum enjoyment from their under-written smart-on-top-shaky-at-the-bottom characters. Besides them you really won't find too many side-splitting moments in this film about jodi-splittng.
